2023
For the 21st edition of Loop Barcelona, the international platform for video art, I supported the team in communication and production. The ten-day festival – spread across more than 80 venues including MACBA and Museu Picasso – brings together galleries, artists, and curators from around the world.
My role focused on connecting the festival’s artistic vision with structured workflows: coordinating international participants, managing accreditations, and ensuring smooth communication across three languages. I also created newsletters, website copy, and social media content to highlight participating galleries and films.

Background
Loop is an international platform for video art based in Barcelona. In addition to its annual festival – hosted at renowned venues such as the Museu Picasso and MACBA – Loop also includes a three-day art Fair and numerous community events dedicated to the field of Artists’ Moving Image.
Each year, the event brings together around 40 galleries from across the globe, offering a representative overview of contemporary video art. With over 200 videos screened and more than 120,000 visitors annually, Loop has become a major international meeting point for artists, collectors, and curators.
For its 21st edition in November 2023, I joined their team to support both communication and production.

Challenge
Coordinating a ten-day program spread across 80+ locations poses both logistical and communication challenges. Our goal was to increase visibility for the festival and the fair, manage international partners, and maintain the platform’s high artistic standards.
Another layer of complexity was the trilingual communication (in English, Spanish, and Catalan) which had to be reflected consistently across all materials and channels.
Approach
The collaboration unfolded in two key phases: several months of planning followed by on-site event execution.
My focus was to connect Loop’s artistic vision with clear, efficient structures. For a complex ten-day schedule, precise organization was crucial — I developed detailed spreadsheets to coordinate workflows, timelines, and logistics. I maintained close communication with international and local galleries, artists, and partners, and managed the accreditation process and participant registration.
On the content side, I created newsletters, website copy, and social media captions to highlight participating galleries and video artists ahead of the event. During the festival and the fair, I provided on-site coordination and guest support. The Loop Fair took place at the Hotel Almanac with an exceptional concept: each hotel room was transformed into a private screening space, featuring a different art film.
